About ICHR

ICHR manages two major programs in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip. ICHR has three (3) regional offices in the West Bank and two (2) in the Gaza Strip. These regional offices perform main functions including: complaint handling, monitoring of human rights violations, visiting prisons, networking with Civil Society Organizations, awareness raising, campaigning, training and capacity building with officials.

ICHR also hosts a centralized Policies and Legislations Monitoring department which performs tasks such as: reviewing legislation from human rights perspective, recommending amendments to legislation, conducting research, and coordinating with national human rights bodies. Other duties include monitoring courts and sometimes performing judicial interventions, ensuring access to justice and making special reports on legal cases.
