The ICHR has requested clarification from UNRWA on the actions taken against the president and some members of the "Union of Arab Workers."

The Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) has called on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to clarify the measures taken against the head of the Union of Arab Workers of UNRWA in the West Bank and other union members for their participation in recent protests.

The ICHR urged the UNRWA administration to find an immediate solution to the current crisis and strike of its workers through dialogue with the workers' union and positive engagement with the initiative of the Ministry of Labor or any other mediating parties that are acceptable to both parties.

The commission expressed concern about the potential negative effects on Palestinians who depend on the agency's services, as UNRWA plays an important role in providing services to Palestinian refugees, particularly vulnerable and marginalized groups.
