Fact Sheet released by ICHR titled: Genocide by Birth Prevention as a Strategy in the Israeli War of Aggression

The Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) issued a fact sheet titled "Genocide by Birth Prevention as a Strategy in the Israeli War of Aggression" to highlight the ongoing genocidal practices of Israel “the occupying power” in the Gaza Strip.

This paper sheds light on the measures taken by the occupying power intended to prevent the procreation of Palestinians in the war of extermination in Gaza. the measures include killing pregnant women, killing children, destroying health centers, causing starvation, and making Gaza an uninhabitable place.

Numerous specialized global organizations various press reports, and human rights groups have pointed out the measures taken by Israel aimed at preventing the birth of Palestinians in its war of extermination against Gaza. 

On January 26, 2024, the International Court of Justice found reasonable grounds to accuse Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The court imposed provisional measures on Israel to prevent the commission of all acts constituting the crime of genocide.
The paper recommended parties to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide to assume their legal responsibilities by compelling Israel “the occupying power” to implement the decision of the International Court of Justice issued on January 26, 2024, on respecting and implementing the relevant provisional measures that abide Israel to prevent genocidal acts in Gaza, including those related to imposing coerced measures to prevent birth among Palestinians. The paper urged the international community to exert pressure on Israel to enforce Security Council Resolution No. 2728 concerning the ceasefire and Resolution No. 2720 regarding the expansion of aid access to Gaza.
 The paper recommended that the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court should immediately initiate criminal investigations against members of the Israeli war government (the Cabinet) and military leaders, for committing acts of genocide, including imposing measures intended to prevent births of the Palestinians in the Gaza strip. clik here
