The Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) is following up on the incident involving the murder of citizens Waseem Kamal al-Aqra’ (37) and Nasr Sameer al-Aqra’ (33), as well as the injury of Q. A. (19), by police personnel in the Gaza Strip. The incident took place in the Az-Zawayda area, Central Gaza, on 4 October 2022.

The ICHR demands that the Public Prosecution open an investigation into the incident and release the results of the investigation.

Based on a power of attorney from the family, through its assigned physician, the ICHR participated in the autopsy on the bodies. The ICHR is currently engaged in follow-up to the investigation, while at the same time collecting information on the incident.
